Who We Serve:
At Beloved Shepherd LLC, we are committed to providing safe, nurturing, and stable homes for children and youth from birth to 18 years old. We recognize that every child has a unique story and individual needs. Our foster care program is designed to support a wide range of children, including those who have experienced trauma, face behavioral or developmental challenges, or require specialized therapeutic care. Below are the categories of children we welcome and support:
General Foster Care (Traditional Placement)
These are children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse, neglect, or unsafe living conditions. While they may not have significant behavioral or medical issues, they often carry emotional wounds from trauma or separation.
Needs include:
- Stability and routine
- Emotional support
- Safe, loving environment
Children with Behavioral Challenges
These children may display moderate to severe behavioral issues such as aggression, defiance, or withdrawal, often as a result of trauma, inconsistent parenting, or previous placements.
Needs include:
- Structure and consistency
- Foster parents trained in trauma-informed care
- Behavioral support services
Therapeutic Children
This group includes children with physical, intellectual, or developmental disabilities who may require adaptive care and specialized support.
Needs include:
- Patience and understanding
- Knowledge of medical or therapeutic care
- Accessibility accommodations (when applicable)
Therapeutic Plus Foster Care
These are children and teens with intensive emotional, mental health, or behavioral needs who require a higher level of care than traditional foster homes can provide. This category often includes youth with significant trauma histories or clinical diagnoses.
Needs include:
- Highly trained and experienced foster parents
- Close collaboration with therapists and case workers.
- Ongoing mental health and crisis support
At Beloved Shepherd LLC, we believe that every child deserves to be seen, heard, and valued. Through our specialized foster care categories, we aim to match children with families who are prepared, equipped, and supported in meeting their unique needs.
